Who Are You?

So, apparently lots of folks (okay "lots" may be an exaggeration) have looked at my blog--at least according to the little widget that counts page views. That said,

Who are you?

Really,

Why do you come here?

What questions do you have?

And,

What are you thankful for?

As for me, I'm thankful for the family of choice (the folks I've celebrated Thanksgiving with EVERY year, except one, since 1996); my toddling little guy (who makes us laugh every day); my wife; and the life we've been graced with. Yup, stating the obvious here. That said,

Blessings upon each and every one of you, whoever you are!

Oh, and I'm messing around with the layout--readability is most important to me, but in trying to adjust the picture on the top I keep running into trouble. Suggestions?

Hi Joy! Thanks for coming out of lurkdom to speak up about cloth diapering. I did buy a handful of fuzzibuns just to give it a try (they're not here yet.. shipping in 1-2 weeks), but I'm curious where you got your cloth diapers. I poked around briefly a la internet and didn't find the ones you mentioned, which sound less pricey than everything I've found on Amazon.
Thanks again for saying hello. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!

Hi and welcome! We use prefolds and covers for the most part (with pockets for overnight, with a prefold and insert in the pocket). We get our prefolds from greenmountaindiapers.com and have used either thirsties or thirsty duos for the covers (we find that in the size medium the boy is in the size for so long that the velcro wore out, so we suggest snaps for mediums). We have also been pleased with Flip diapers, they are covers and inserts and the covers are one size. Prefolds were about 21 dollars for a dozen and each cover is about 12 dollars. Good luck! We love cloth diapering but especially love how budget friendly it is! Oh and for washing--one wash on cold with no soap (we use the bumgenius detergent, which we order from diapers.com). Then a wash on hot with soap and an extra rinse. The prefolds go in the drier, covers and wet bags get hung up in the basement to dry :)
